I think he understood both of those things, and also understood that there were perhaps other options than calling the electric company and having them shut down the grid.

I don't get it. This isn't Die Hard, asshole. I tried to boot up a Linux Live CD. It booted but during initialization left the display blank. I rebooted the machine by shutting it down through the off switch. Bruise considered this, in effect, to be reckless behavior. On a true operating Linux system, it could be because of failure to flush write cache to disc. On a Live CD, it's "harmless error" because no file system is being used in such a way that it can be left unstable. Bruce seemed to be unaware of this.

Now you bring up the comedy of me shutting down an electrical grid, as if I have that sort of power (pun unintentional.)

I have a better idea; let's not delete the thread at Christmas or the SC2 forum, let's delete the Pinback! (Either deleting him in real life or deleting his presence from here is acceptable.)

Uh, I don't like the bad grammar in the next to previous sentence but it will have to do.

Anyone ever watch Welcome Back Kotter? This guy wasn't even that old. . . and the commander somehow outlasted him.

I should point out that we haven't actually heard from TDR for the last few weeks, including private emails sent to him. So, the last couple posts may in fact be in error.

How long do you figure it will take for the stench of death to escape his hovel and someone finds him? I feel sorry for the poor ENT's that have to remove 1000 pounds of rotting corpse stuck to a wheelchair.

Oh please, me and my chair together only weigh 750 pounds.

I really don't matter at all, in this context.

There are innocents that die in ever war, Bugs! Welcome back! You'll note that much like everything else around here, it was an empty thread that had zero consequences from thread to thread.

What are ya doing for Valentine's Day?

When Andrew Brietbart died, apparently of natural causes at only 43, it makes me wonder if Tdarcos' swanson dinners are some kind of human preservative. This guy, although fat, wasn't even as fat as the commander yet he's dead and tdarcos is still rolling around. What gives?
